Last week we would have had our Coffee Morning but we sent our members a quiz instead. Here it is along with the answers.
Easter weekend - what a beautiful weekend! Those of us fortunate with gardens were able to enjoy time out there, taking in the sun, and counting our blessings.
Around our village, there are lots of houses and cottages displaying bears & other soft animals for the 'bear hunt' as well as decorating windows with NHS rainbows. At times, it just seems like a normal day until you meet someone and realise that if you want to chat, you have to keep your distance and keep everyone safe! Our members are still busy though. Some are working or volunteering; some are making NHS bags for nurses; we are keeping in touch with each other through our buddy system; and keeping our minds busy, reading, crafting, gardening etc. We ask our members for news and/or photos of things they have done or made to lighten our day. The first picture below is of some lovely decoupage bottles made by one of our members during this time and another of a clay dog. The clay dog is not strictly one made during the lockdown, however, it has been 're-discovered' during this time. One of our new members has not long moved to the village and so is taking this time to unpack those boxes which have laid dormant for the past few weeks/months. Whilst unpacking the boxes, she came across this clay dog that she made herself some time ago. Isn't it lovely? We really do have some talented ladies in our group. What have you re-discovered? |
