INTRODUCING THE ECKINGTON W.I.T.C.H Ever fancied a dabble at crafts, maybe trying a new skill? Well good news, the Eckington WITCH might just be your chance. Starting in September, WITCH is planning to hold a monthly meeting where we will try out a new craft or skill. You will not need any experience for these events as the aim is to try it out. We have initially booked the village hall for the last Wednesday evening of each month upto and including March 2018 (December excluded). Costs for each session will vary depending on the nature of the craft and materials needed.
Our first session will be Wednesday 27 September starting at 7pm for 2 hours of block printing. The cost for the session will be £3.50 and will include light refreshments, materials for printing and either a tote-bag or tea-towel to use for printing which will then of course be yours to keep!
Please note these sessions are being organised by Eckington WI and whilst we will be providing the materials and guidance on how to do the block printing, we do not have a formal paid tutor. The purpose of these sessions are to give people an opportunity to try various crafts in an informal environment. We will always have our members there to guide others and indeed those helping to lead will have had some experience in the craft but we have to stress this is not a formally led craft class. That said, if the sessions prove popular, we will consider using paid tutors for some specialist crafts.
So if you are interested in attending this first session, please email with details of who is coming and whether you would prefer to print on a tote-bag or tea-towel. We may ask for advance payment as we will have to pre-order the items but will let you know that in due course. Places are limited and so early notice from you would be useful. So if you are interested, please contact us at email@example.com. Oh and who or what is the Eckington WITCH you may ask? It’s WI, The Craft Hub –
