WHAT DO YOU NEED TO REMEMBER FOR THE NEXT MEETING?
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: Wednesday April 3rd, 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
SPEAKER: Shona Kelly of Peter Cooks Bread will speak and demonstrate Artisan Bread. We hope she will bring a few loaves to sell to us so bring your purse.
TEA HOSTESSES: Jo, Mary Briscoe (swapped with Janet) and Anne
COFFEE: Thank you for supporting us in March. It’s always nice to welcome so many of you and to be able to catch up on everything happening with you. Our next date is Wednesday 10th April when we will be visiting the Chapel in the Cemetery in Pershore. They have some wonderful new stained glass windows and they have kindly agreed to let us look, and supply us with some coffee. We are booked for 11am, and if you need a lift please let Jenny know and we will arrange it. . LUNCH CLUB: Asparagus time! We are going to Reville’s on Tuesday 16th April, 12.30pm. (Other meals are available). £5 deposit required.
THE WITCH: We had our last meeting for the winter last week, so no more until September. Thank you to those members who did support us. Perhaps when we re-start in September more of you will join us.
GARDEN CLUB: Our inaugural meeting was held last month and our first outing is to Spetchley Park on Thursday April 12th. We will be meeting at 11am. The park is open under the NGS and will cost £8. We are leaving it up to you to organise yourselves. Make your own way there or arrange your own lift.
LUCY HINGLEY LECTURE: This year the lecture will be given by Dr Andrew Molodynski who spoke last year at the Cardiff AGM. The subject is Mental Health. The date is Thursday 23rd May at the Charles Hastings Education Centre at the Royal Worcestershire Hospital.
GARAGE SALES: The organisation is stepping up a gear this month with posters going up around the village. Please let your neighbours know the sales are happening and that it’s usually a very good village day. If you can, please keep Monday May 6th free as we will be relying on you to help with the teas as usual. Please say you will help as it is our major fund raiser of the year.
ECKSTOCK: We need your commitment to help on Saturday July 6th. A board will circulate to put your name on and the time you would like to help.
LUNCH WITH SPEAKER: Advance notice, Tuesday 29th October at the Chateau Impney at Droitwich, Jules Hudson from Escape to the Country and Countryfile will be the speaker.
ANNUAL COUNCIL MEETING: This is being held on Saturday 9th November at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern. Put it in your diary now.
